Creating Backlinks by Referencing Other Bloggers Posts

by donny on October 25, 2009

Alan from Affiliate Confession, blogs about giving away free stuff in return for huge profits.  This idea has continued to work over and over again simply based on the fact that people love free stuff and they will do almost anything to get it.

Tom from Standout Blogger, posts about boosting your business with blogging.  Blogging has become the ultimate form of free advertising because it costs almost nothing to run and host a blog.  The unique thing about blogging is the ability to reach such a large audience.

Michael Martine discusses how knowledge is power and convenience is weakness.  If you want some empowerment, I would recommend you listen to this audio file.  It will help motivate you to take your business or live to the next level.

Mohammad Arshad wrote a wonderful guest post on Carl Ocab’s blog about whether blog commenting or guest posting is better for link building purposes.  This is a highly debatable topic because they both are very effective marketing strategies.

Last but not least, is my friend Collin Lahay talking about increasing your website traffic through forum marketing.  Most marketers seem to look over this extremely effective tactic because it could get quite boring after doing it for a while.  I recommend to people, when doing forum posting, think of all the extra traffic and links that you are going to be receiving from going out and doing it.

Interesting post.

I disagree with your contention “that it costs almost nothing to run a blog.”

It does cost TIME and Energy while the monetary expense may be minor.
The pursuit of free traffic causes more issues for internet marketers than almost anything else.

I contend that people do not have a traffic problem they have in actuality a conversion problem. All the traffic in the world does not make a bad offer better.

Thanks for the links.

Getting backlinks has so many ways. I agree with what you mentioned above like commenting, or guest posting, and the natural way of getting backlinks. I read a post from this blogging site, he discussed some thing on the basic things to obtain backlinks. It’s really good to remember the basic.

Am I missing something? You give five or so great examples on how to reference other blog posts. You do not give any explicit example on how that created backlinks to your blog. Although I’m sure it has. More details please ;)

This is again a nice way to get backlinks. It is the way how Google will consider such links as natural links and not as reciprocal kind of links.
Thanks for sharing such a valuable information regarding ink building.
Do keep posting more like this.

I recently was told a good way to get temporary backlinks was commenting on blogs that have a recent comment widget installed, thererfore giving you instant backlinks determined by the number of posts that blog has. I am testing this now. I hope it works.

As far as the “it costs almost nothing” debate, I’m going to disagree on the whole time is money theory.

A blog owner if they are making money is a small business owner. Small business owners seldom make what their time is actually worth. You’re putting your time in NOW on the hope that you will make the money LATER.

You can’t expect to make minimum wage it is an investment in the future.
