Building Link Popularity With Other Industry Blogs

by donny on September 13, 2009

Most bloggers don’t realize the power of mentioning other blog post for other blogs in their industry.  This is a very powerful tactic because most of the time you will get a free backlink to their website via what is known as a trackback or ping.  Basically a trackback is when you provide a link within your post and when you do this, the owner of that blog will receive a notice that you linked to their post.  Nine times out of ten, they will accept your link and your link will be placed in the comment section of that post.  That is why you should start building link popularity with other blogs in your industry.

Trackbacking is one thing but how about what you’ve just done here? :) Mentioning posts from other bloggers also help you become recognized by bloggers in your niche. And sometimes, they’ll also do the favor to you.

A trackack url benefit both parties as the url you linked with will benefit your visitors so is the person that wrote the post, that is why spammers are also using this technique to deceive, if care is not taken you would have approved a trackback url believing is true but only to realise its was only a false url.
Thanks for the post building community among bloggers is a good marketing tip.

No doubt, Trackback is so powerful. By using it, you can put your link in front of all of readers of other blogger who just might click on it to see what you have to say about the topic. It can get you the link as well as traffic. Spammers are always a problem and they always try to abuse every good thing on the internet. But that does not diminish the value of Trackback.
